Act Two

Journey

At some time in your life you've probably encountered someone who claimed to speak for God. Its unlikely that this person told you anything you hadn't already heard before. But what if the man who said God had spoken to him was just an ordinary man, seemingly sane and very fortunate in his life?

This man, for personal reasons, left his home town where all of his connections were and traveled a long way to a place where he was a stranger. He was given waste land that no one wanted and within two years his fortune had doubled and the "waste land" was blooming like a garden. Then he says God told him to move on. He travels far in a difficult environment constantly asking God if this is to be his new home. Finally he settles in a dry barren region on the edge of a great desert. He digs a well and plants an oak tree. With in three years his fortunes have doubled again. Then again he says that God has told him to move on.

This time he enters a foreign country where they speak a different language, follow different laws and have strict ideas about religion that don't match his, and to top it off, the local King takes his wife for a mistress.

In a little over a year the King returns the man's wife and makes him six times richer then he was before.

Would this convince you that the man actually was being instructed by God?

Find out for yourself.
